Fort Wayne, Indiana Employment and Labor Law Attorney Nathaniel Hubley: Aggressive Legal Representation.

Attorney Nathaniel Hubley is dedicated to providing aggressive legal representation to people seeking help with their employment law matters. The State of Indiana is considered an employment-at-will state. This means that an employer can terminate employment an employee for any reason, whether it is a good reason or a bad reason. However, an employer is prohibited from terminating employment for an illegal reason, such as discrimination or retaliation

Employees working in the State of Indiana are protected from being discriminated against in the workplace. The most common laws that protect workers from wrongful termination include the:

Civil Rights Act of 1964—prohibits discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin;

Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967—prohibits age discrimination of those between the ages of 40 and 65;

Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990—prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals who have disabilities or perceived disabilities;

Family and Medical Leave Act—affords a qualified employee up to twelve (12) weeks of leave in certain circumstances and prohibits an employer from terminating an employee for exercising his or her FMLA rights and protects a qualified employee from an employer’s unlawful interference with employee’s FMLA rights.

Frampton Claim—a state law claim that gives an employee a cause of action if an employer terminates employment due to the employee’s exercising his or her rights under the Indiana Worker’s Compensation Act.

Attorney Nathaniel Hubley offers a free legal consultation and in most employment law cases there are no attorney's fees unless you recover.
